The CCTV Line Amplifier amplifies the video signal. It should be used if the cable length between the Alcatraz MultiSwitch and a connected camera exceeds 100 m. The supported cable length is 300 m maximum. Power supply is provided by the MultiSwitch via the Cat5e cable. It is strongly recommended to install the Line Amplifier as close to the MultiSwitch as possible (The required 0.5 m Cat5e cable is included.)

The configuration is done via four DIP-switches on the circuit board. This allows an individual setup of the amplification rate. The Line Amplifier can therefore be adjusted precisely to the respective cable length.

Please note that the Line Amplifier is only necessary in combination with MultiSwitch MK1. The MultiSwitch Mk2 offers this functionality as standard.
